    Question #1:

What bird fits this description best?

I'm looking for a bird that is energetic, has a long life span, and isn't too loud. I'm think of getting a Maximilian Pionus which are known to be quiet birds that can talk. I haven't be able to find an accurate life span for them though, I've read that they live 15 years in one book, another says 35 and another says 40. If it lives 15 years I'm not sure it is the bird for me because I want a bird that is capable of living to be at least 30. I know that all birds vary in lifespan based on their breeding and that all birds have different personalities, but I just want a generalization of bird species based on your experiences.

    Question #2:

    Keeping a Pionus and Budgie?

I'm planning on getting a Maximilian Pionus from a breeder once it has hatched, but I won't be getting it until maybe May. I also would like to have a budgie. I've had a budgie before and I miss how hyper they are. I also know that there are several out there that need good homes that have ended up at rescues. I was thinking of getting a rescue budgie and then when May comes around also getting a Pionus. I've never had two birds at once though and I know that many people do. My only reason for not going out and getting two bird is that I want them to bond with me more then each other. I was thinking since they are different species and will not be sharing a cage that they will become attached to me. My dad doesn't think that this will be the case though. I wanted to know what your experiences are with having two different species of birds. I have plenty of time to spend with both of them so that isn't a problem.

    Question #3:

My parrot is getting very agressive. Please help me.?

Ok so i have a Pionus Maximilian. He is now 2 years old. I got him when he was very little, so hes used to my family and I. For the last year hes changed alot. He became more agressive. By this i mean he bites and gets angry more. I try to hit his beak after he bites, but that just makes it worst :(. My dad said to lock him up in the cage, so I did. I kept him in there for a couple of hours but he gets even more mad when i unlock him. are there any methods to stop him from biting me so much?
He will bite me twice a day and its getting worst.

    Question #4:

Has anyone bought a bird and had it flown in from another state? I'm looking to buy a Maximilian Pionus... I l
