Question #17:
OK, I've just had mice and I looked after them until they died and always fed them and cleaned out their cage and held them. Now I'd like a replacement for the mice. My criteria is:
It has to be:
small
cheap to keep
relativley quiet
cute
not a: guinea pig (I had them and I hate them), mouse or cocky or galah or lorakeet.
And, it has to have a short life span, eg: 2 - 5 years.
I dont mind (actually I love) rodents like rats and mice. I wouldnt mind a budgie or a canarie, but, here's some more questions, do canaries or budgies sit on your shoulder (and stay there) and can you teach them to talk and how long do they live.
Im not allowed to have a ferret but trust me, I can be very persuasive (Im good at reasarching reasons why I should get stuff (mostly pets)). If you can give me enough good points about ferrets I might get lucky:) But back to the original question, what rodent/small bird pet should I get? Oh, and not a rabbit. Thanks
OK "Sandi" I sort of took offence to that. I have three dogs, one cat, 24 fish, 2 rats and I had two mice until they passed away (after they had lived to their full life expectancy). All of these animals are taken care of by me and my family. I love and adore all animals (not arachnids), hey, I even love snakes! I cant think of an animal I don't like. I just said I didnt like guinea pigs so no one would suggest them. So, I really don't want to hear that I'm not responsible enough to have a pet or not an animal person.
Thanks:)
Sorry I dont know how to choose a best answer but if i did i would choose amber the ferret, she made me seriously rethink my obsession with ferrets. I wouldnt have time to scratch myself between that and school!!! Thanks so much!!! mwa
